No Slippery Slope Left to Slide Down -- No Moral Dominoes Left to Fall
Melbourne brothel The Daily Planet Ltd has continued to defy gravity with its share price soaring as much as 80 per cent.
After its successful listing on the Australian Stock Exchange yesterday where its 50 cents per share offering closed at $1.09, the stock peaked at $2.05 today before easing to close 47 cents or 43 per cent stronger at $1.56. . . .
Brokers said continued gains in the stock represented its unique status. It is the only listed brothel on the Australian market. . . .
Mr Harris [Daily Planet Chief Executive] said three receptionists at the Daily Planet had invested their life savings in the stock and cashed in today to pay off their homes. (Reference: Daily Planet up, up and away May 2, 03)
